Deborah Levine

Executive Director

Throughout Deborah’s over 20 year career, working in community, she has been a courageous warrior against HIV/AIDS and a champion for the rights, health and well-being of community members both on the local and national level. Deborah has been a staunch advocate for the development of sound, culturally competent public policies, programs and allocation of resources to effectively meet the HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care needs of our community. Through Deborah’s work, thousands of have been educated about HIV/AIDS tested and linked to care.

Sara Flowers

Director of Youth Initiative

With over 15 years’ experience, Sara is an advocate for evidence-informed practice and emotional intelligence in sexuality health education. At Love Heals, Sara coordinates program evaluation, cultivates and maintains community partnerships, and hires and manages the LEAP for Girls freelance health education team. In addition, Sara is a Doctor of Public Health degree candidate at the City University of New York.

Philip Hilton

Director of Development

Philip, a native of Harlem, has over 30 years’ experience in fund development and fundraising. Prior to Love Heals, he served as a Vice President at the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS. Additionally, he’s had significant state government experience – including serving for 16 years in the office of former NYS Governor Hugh L. Carey. Philip has been responsible for raising millions of dollars in the fight against HIV/AIDS and is strongly committed to strengthening Love Heals’ fundraising efforts.

Danielle Krushnic

Program Monitoring Specialist

Danielle Krushnic is a Program Monitoring Specialist for Youth Initiatives at Love Heals. Before joining Love Heals as a staff member, Danielle served as a graduate intern assisting in research and evaluation. Currently she is pursuing an Masters in Public Health at Hunter College focusing on maternal, child, reproductive and sexual health.

Monzona Whaley

Program Associate

A native of Salisbury, Maryland Monzona Whaley is Love Heals’ Program Associate. He holds a Bachelor’s in Strategic Communications from Morgan State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Corporate Communication and Public Relations Management at New York University. Monzona specializes in non-profit communications with a focus on youth empowerment and leadership.
Mia Ragozino

Manager, Youth Advisory Council

Mia Ragozino has worked with Love Heals for the last three years, first as a facilitator for the LEAP for Girls Program and most recently as the Manager of the Youth Advisory Council. She is firmly dedicated to the Council’s mission of empowering youth leaders to advocate for themselves and to promote the health of their community. As a longtime activist and public health worker, she has witnessed firsthand that marginalized populations are uniquely equipped to solve the problems facing them and that giving individuals a seat at the table will allow our organization to harness these strengths and perspectives in our shared goal of bettering the communities we serve and preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS. Look out for some exciting projects this year!
